Each new NISSAN car sold by authorized NISSAN dealer gets 3 years/100 000 km warranty, including 3 years warranty for paint and 12 years warranty against body corrosion. These warranties are supplemented by a year warranty for spare parts and accessories.
Any NISSAN car leaves the factory with an open warranty. In order the warranty to be started, official NISSAN dealer has to do appropriate procedures. Unauthorized importers/dealers cannot open warranty and it does not happen automatically. A car bought at traders who are not official dealers does not have factory warranty, and official NISSAN dealer cannot guarantee accordance of such car to local requirements if it is bought from unauthorized trader (for example – conditions connected with climate – cars produced for regions of mild climate are not suitable for northern winter conditions).
In every European country NISSAN MOTOR CO ha an authorized dealer which delivers cars with specification and warranty corresponding for an appropriate territory. Authorized NISSAN dealer has rights and obligations to appoint in his territory a necessary amount of traders (retailers), providing them with concrete products and information.
