Car of the year 2007 in Latvia – NISSAN QASHQAI
We proudly announce that on 23rd November this year
in the House of the Blackheads as
“Car of the year 2007 in Latvia” was nominated NISSAN QASHQAI!
Totally there were 44 cars entered into the competition that is 10 cars more than the previous year. In the final for the title “Car of the year 2007 in Latvia” competed such cars as Opel Antara, Kia Cee’d, Audi A5, Honda CRV, Škoda Fabia, Ford Mondeo, Mitsubishi Lancer, Peugeot 308 and VW Golf Variant, but a convincing victory got Nissan Qashqai.
The competition “Car of the year 2007 in Latvia” tition “Car of the year in Latvia” happens already for twelfth time and jury’ s trips for evaluating of all competitors, proceeded from May until end of October. In these trips almost 2000km were driven through all regions of Latvia.
Nissan has participated and won titles in the competitions “Car of the year in Latvia” also before: in 2006 in the same competition as the most economical car of the year was nominated Nissan Note; however, in 2005 as the best off-road car Nissan Pathfinder was nominated, but as the best sports car – Nissan 350Z.

In the final voting Nissan Qashqai got 203 points, making rings round the second place with certainty that in the voting got 156 points.
